The DM M5 Ø4.5mm Thermal Friction Drill Bit (Long Flat Design) by DUOMI is a high-precision, solid tungsten carbide tool designed for chipless hole forming in thin-walled metals. Utilizing rotational speed and axial pressure, the bit generates frictional heat (600°C–800°C), plasticizing the workpiece material to form a solid bushing 3 to 4 times thicker than the original sheet profile. This extended collar allows for high-load M5 thread tapping without riveted nuts or weld inserts.
